5.8 million in India treated for high BP: WHO

“Hypertension can be controlled effectively with simple, low-cost medication regimens, and yet only about one in five people with hypertension have controlled it.” Said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General as the World Health Organisation (WHO) releases its first ever report on the silent killer, hypertension. One-third of the adults suffer from it, the WHO says.
