In a first, scientists grow humanised kidney

A study published in the scientific journal Cell Stem Cell has depicted growing humanised kidney inside pigs. Pigs are highly attractive target for growing human organs as they have similarities with humans in terms of physiology and organ size, as well as in embryonic development. 88,500 people are waiting for a transplant in the US currently.
