Lymphedema, also known as elephantiasis, is a chronic condition characterized by long-term swelling and discomfort in a specific part of the body. It can occur after cancer treatment and is often mistaken for venous insufficiency or lipoedema. Additional symptoms include limited mobility and skin changes. Diagnostic imaging may be used to diagnose lymphedema.
