Lymphedema, also known as elephantiasis, is a chronic condition characterized by long-term swelling and discomfort in a specific part of the body. It can occur after cancer treatment and is often mistaken for venous insufficiency or lipoedema. Additional symptoms include limited mobility and skin changes.
